people who work with Florence say…

“Florence is a rising star that I feel so lucky to have started my career as a director with. On top of being a team player who is always ready to build off of my and her cast mates ideas, she brings a magnetic strength to every character I’ve seen her play. A truly reliable actress and a truly incredible performer, I’m so excited to see what Florence does next.”

-Téa Einarsen, director

“Working with Florence was a dream. She has great energy in the room that makes you instantly trust her as a choreographer. She understands that everyone learns differently and how to break down steps to really make sure the actors can get it in their bodies. She brought her own individuality and ideas to the creative process but had such an understanding of the overall story that she was able to make sure it was cohesive with the production. Florence doesn’t just look for the flashy move but makes sure that moves motivate the storytelling, which is the mark of a good choreographer”

-Rakeem Lawrence, choreographer

“The thoughtfulness and care she puts into crafting a character—both in rehearsal and behind the scenes on her own time—is evident even in the subtlest of gestures. Everything she does is imbued with an inspiring level of dedication to both her profession and to the world of the play. It is fascinating to watch her work in the rehearsal room and even more so on the stage. Working with her as a budding director lit a fire underneath me and has pushed me to be a more ambitious artist myself, and I am endlessly grateful to have had the opportunity to work with the rare force that is Florence Glavin.”
